This course provides delegates with a basic training in first aid. The course is a cost effective way of training a group of delegates, without taking up too much of their work time. The course is ideal as a first aid refresher or as supplementary first aid training in the workplace.

Who Should Attend?

This half-day course is suitable for a range of circumstances:

• For delegates who have completed a HSE approved First Aid course and require refresher or supplementary training during their period of qualification
• People required as assistants to a trained First Aider within the workplace
• Those wishing to gain basic knowledge, confidence and practical experience in first aid techniques

Course Content

This short course will meet delegates' needs in gaining basic first aid knowledge or to refresh the core skills gained from previous First Aid training.

Content covered during the half-day programme is as follows:

• Principles of emergency aid
• Basic Life Support (CPR)
• Recognition and control of bleeding
• Choking and unconsciousness
• Treatment of burns and scalds

The content of this course can also be tailored to specific requirements in your workplace e.g. for nurses, high risk environments, or to address specific needs.

Completion Certificate

On successful completion of the course, the delegate will receive a certificate of attendance. This is valid for 3 years.

Course Prices

Course fees include the provision of the instructor together with all necessary equipment to facilitate the course and a course pack for each delegate (which includes a pad, pen and a First Aid Manual).
