The guidelines relating to children's first aid are different to those for adults. This course specifically addresses first aid techniques for children of different ages, and is ideal for people working in schools.

Course Content
The Children's First Aid course is specifically designed for those with a responsibility for children.
The most important difference between child and adult first aid is the technique used for resuscitation protocols (airway, breathing and circulation) according to the Resuscitation Council (UK).
The course also takes into account the common illnesses and injuries that can occur with children. Content includes:
- Aims & Principles of First Aid
- Anaphylaxis and use of an Epipen
- Asthma
- Bleeding (including nose bleeds)
- Burns
- Choking
- Fractures and soft tissue injuries
- Management of the unconscious casualty
- Basic Life Support (CPR)
- Head Injuries
- Other specific conditions
Completion Certificate
On successful completion of the course, the delegate will receive a certificate of attendance. This is valid for 3 years.
Course Prices
Course fee includes the provision of the instructor together with all necessary equipment to facilitate the course and a course pack for each delegate (which includes a pad, pen and a First Aid Manual).
